The 3rd Biecz Culture Festival is taking place on 24th August. It will begin at 4 pm. with a traditional wedding staging, "Wedding in the uplands", which is to celebrate the year of Oskar Kolberg – a prominent Polish ethnographer, folklorist and composer – on his 200th birthday. On the same day, at 7 pm., Czeherat, a band inspired by the cultural diversity of Bieszczady Mountains, will perform Carpathian folk music, and at 9 pm. the audience will listen to Gooral. This highlight was chosen by the residents of Biecz by means of an on-line voting. Other items on the agenda include: communal wedding passing gate contest, wedding portrait exhibition, bride's trunk painting by children and exhibitions of artisanal and folk handicraft goods.
