Next Friday (15th August), for three days, the market square in Nowy Sącz will turn into a large stage of the 4th International Multimedia Art Festival Karpaty Offer. Nowy Sącz will be a meeting place of diverse performers, representing various types of art, connected by one thing – the Carpathian Mountains!

- Carpathians are a special place on the map of Europe. "It is full of good and creative people, and the unusual richness of its traditional culture – both tangible and spiritual – inspires contemporary artists", says Leszek Zegzda, chairman of the culture division of the Sejmik of Małopolska. Marshal Marek Sowa adds: "I'm convinced that the festival, whose main purpose is to present diverse cultural phenomena and exceptional creative activity of Carpathian inhabitants, can count on a wide response from the public.”

It happens every year. Karpaty Offer usually draws crowds of spectators. This year, the biggest audience is expected at a concert of a true Carpathian superstar, Golec uOrkiestra.
"Golce is a combination of a traditional, ethnic Carpathian sound and a number of different genres of music, mainly pop, alternative, rock'n'roll, rythm and blues as well as jazz music", says Małgorzata Broda.

On Saturday the most interesting performances will be given by Tetiana Galitsyna, whose first act will be creating colourful arrangements on water, and after sunset, in complete darkness, she will paint... with light.

This year's Karpaty Offer will also include theatre (Sunday, in Galician Town), film (Friday and Saturday, in Sokół cinema and in the ruins of the Nowy Sącz castle) as well as arts and crafts faire, drama workshop, animations for kids and food tasting.

The event will begin next Friday at 3 am., with Małopolska European Picnic.
