Bulbous, shingled domes on the fabulous, hip roofs, higher and higher towards the sky, crowned with decorative wrought iron crosses, tripartite silhouette with a tiny chancel, slightly bigger square nave and finally an addition in the form of a picturesque steeple with a starling, as if transferred from a typical wooden church from Małopolska – this is the essence of the traditional Lemko style. This is what the St. Paraskeva Greek Catholic Orthodox Church in Kwiatoń, built probably in the 2nd half of the 17th century, is like. It is no coincidence that together with three other Lemko Orthodox churches it has been inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage list.
