green pastures, on the background of ancient trees, at some distance
from few houses of Bartne, there is a true gem of wooden architecture
– former St. St. Cosmas and Damian Greek Catholic Orthodox Church.
It was built of wooden logs and shingled in 1842. Surrounded by a
wooden fence with a small gate, covered with a bulbous roof, the
Orthodox church is a branch of the Karwacjan and Gładysz Manors
Museum in Gorlice. We can see there numerous works of sacred art from
Lemkovina, with a valuable iconostasis at the lead.
