THE LACH OF SĄCZ ETHNIC GROUP MUSEUM NAMED AFTER ZOFIA AND STANISŁAW CHRZĄSTOWSKI was created from the private ethnographic collection of its founders, experts on the region and culture animators, who lived in Podegrodzie since the end of the 1920’s. The Museum is based in the Cultural Centre in Podegrodzie, situated in the village centre. The exhibition is devoted to the traditional material culture of the Lach region: farming, village crafts such as pottery, blacksmithry, fabric treatments and weaving. The exhibition also presents the current folk art and ritual fine arts. Archive pictures of the village photographer Wojciech Migacz complement the exhibition. A separate subject is broached by the exhibition entitled "Podegrodzie and Nowy Sącz Neighbourhood Archaeology", which presents items from the collection of the Nowy Sącz Museum.
