Mr. Józef Tokarz from Jazowsko is a self-taught carver. Although he has always considered carving as just an extra activity in his leisure time, this artist from Jazowsko is known among folk art connoisseurs from many countries. His carvings are the pride of many collections. However, three works were given as gifts to the Pope and remain in the Vatican. The work of Mr. Józef was appreciated by his long-time friend, Władysław Hasior. They held two joint exhibitions to present their works.
